We're very excited to be hosting Jenna Nicholls who weaves a spell with her utterly individual tapestry of sound, strumming her ukulele with the spirit of New Orleans or crooning a cowboy’s tale with the soul of the West. Her melodies, like vintage vinyl spun anew, carry the weight of memory and promise of tomorrow.

Jenna has lined things up nicely for her newest release “The Commuter.” The album was produced by Larry Campbell, a former member of Bob Dylan’s band who served as musical director for Levon Helm and performed with Phil Lesh of the Grateful Dead, among others. And “The Commuter” was recorded and mixed by Justin Guip at his Milan Hill Studios in the Hudson Valley.

TANASI is a worldgrass trio based in Asheville, North Carolina, channeling global folk traditions through the drive, textures, and close harmonies of an Appalachian string band. With Billy Cardine on dobro and slide instruments, Anya Hinkle on vocals and guitar, and Mary Lucey on vocals, upright bass, and clawhammer banjo, the group unites three widely acclaimed roots artists whose combined careers span decades of touring, recording, and cross-cultural exchange.

Composed of Elijah Kraatz (guitar/vocals) Harry Grabenstein (guitar/vocals), Keith Levenson (percussion), and Kevin Fink (violin), the music of Kraatz Carromato is principally inspired by the Gitanos (Gypsies or, preferably, Roma) of Spain, and Camargue, France. In addition, the Roma carromato - Spanish for caravan - serves as the basis for a broader musical journey that echoes the migration of the Roma people through the Middle East and Europe, connecting Spanish rumba flamenco with Balkan, Eastern European, and Middle Eastern influences. Performing primarily original compositions drawn from these musical forms, Kraatz Carromato’s songs are songs of migration, of longing for a homeland, of hope and resilience. The majority of compositions are instrumental, but listeners may also hear traditional songs sung in Spanish, Bosnian, English, and the Romani language depending upon the performance.

Of a Winter’s Night is Tony Trischka's always eagerly awaited acoustic celebration of the holiday season. Based on his 2015 CD release of the same name, this show features a wide variety of seasonal tunes where he turns his considerable melodic inventiveness loose on Bluegrass and Americana music for the holidays. Joined by multi-instrumentalist & shape-note singer Tim Eriksen, Trischka and Eriksen put a warm spin on a wealth of festive fare. Trischka & Eriksen have invited Hannah Read on guitar, violin and vocals to join them. They are joined by Jared Engel on bass and vocals and Sean Trischka on vocals and drums. Performing from the 1844 hymnbook Sacred Harp, some of the evening’s songs date back to the Revolutionary era. Other selections range from classics such as “Come All Ye Faithful,” to lesser known tunes like The Pretenders’ “2000 Miles,” and Trischka’s “Christmas Morn”.
